The Dotdash Meredith Fellowship Program offers recent college graduates the opportunity to gain experience working with some of our most popular brands. The program runs from June 2023 to May 2024 and is our primary source of hiring for entry-level roles.
Fellows work full time and earn $18 an hour.
Location: Birmingham, AL; hybrid schedule of 3 days a week in the office and 2 days from home.
You will:
Write and produce content for the magazine and website.
Provide research and reporting support.
Contribute to and pitch ideas for features, single pages, columns, and daily content.
Support the editorial team on different projects, from market work for photo shoots to podcast interview research.
You have:
A degree or experience in journalism or related field.
An interest in writing for both print and digital, and strong writing skills.
An interest in social media and learning about new platforms.
An interest in Southern culture; an interest in Southern food is a plus but not required.

About Your Contributions:
Represent Dotdash Meredith’s Health brands in the Health advertising marketplace with digital industry expertise, professionalism and a point of view.
Lead, develop and motivate members of their sales team.
Partner with the Chief Revenue Officer/SVP of Sales to create sales strategies and drive growth.
Build strong internal relationships with functional leads (Marketing and Account Strategy) to drive collaboration across the organization, identify needs and develop solutions.
Continually educate our Sales Leaders on their clients business challenges, and work to bring the clients advertising solutions which help to solve their business challenges.
Develop, maintain and grow strong relationships with client and agency partners across multiple levels of both organizations.
Advocate for the clients needs with internal teams to ensure the work delivered to our clients has as much insight into client goals and objectives as possible. This includes responding to RFPs, working with ad sales marketing and site/product-specific sales leads, and post-campaign sales support leads to create effective and compelling sales materials, brainstorm presentations, client follow-up documents and quarterly business reviews.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
About You:
A minimum of 15 years of digital media sales experience, with a demonstrated track record of success in breaking accounts without no prior history of spending
A minimum of 5 years of management experience preferred
Experience with health and pharma clients strongly preferred
Demonstrated success in selling a variety of types of solutions to clients. For example, custom content, editorial sponsorships, mobile executions, programmatic, display, 360 degree events and a curiosity and willingness to learn new things and share them with clients

About Your Role:
We are seeking an energetic Project Coordinator to join our growing organization. The successful candidate will work with the Content Operations team to organize and implement editorial and fact checking projects on a number of Dotdash Meredith brands.
Working in a team environment, the successful candidate will coordinate with stakeholders to establish priorities, ensure all workflows are optimized, and manage contractors to successfully meet goals within budget and time expectations.
About Your Contributions:
Launch and monitor content update projects and coordinate with all stakeholders to keep workflows on track to reach quarterly goals.
Maintain all project-related documentation so that all materials reflect current best practices.
Manage a team of contractors, monitoring their performance and communicating with them in an effective manner to meet goals and objectives.
Create and proofread new project guidelines and materials to ensure successful launch and execution of content quality projects.
Manage quarterly budgets, track costs, and report on spend.
Work closely with Editorial teams to spin off projects and recommend improvements to existing processes.
Track and analyze project progress while keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify and resolve issues/bottlenecks that arise.
About You:
Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, journalism, marketing, communications, or a related field.
2-4 years experience in an administrative, content marketing, or content management role.
Experience and comfort using Google Docs, Sheets, Analytics and Airtable.
Able to analyze numbers and manage budgets.
